BROADBAND

Satellite-delivered broadband services are essential to fulfilling the U.S. national policy goal of providing broadband access to all Americans. Satellites deliver three types of broadband: end-user broadband services; middle-mile connectivity for Internet Service Providers; and mobile broadband services. Satellites offer ubiquitous, cost effective, reliable, and rapid broadband access to anywhere in the United States, connecting remote and rural areas to the Internet backbone at speeds that can be tailored to the consumer.
