EXPORT CONTROLS
SIA endorses strong, sensible and effective export controls to ensure that the most advanced technologies do not fall into the hands of our adversaries. SIA encourages the modernization and simplification of U.S. policies and legislation governing exports of U.S. satellites and components to reflect more accurately the state of technology and commerce in the satellite sector and focus controls on militarily sensitive technologies. SIA believes that these reforms will help to ensure the continuing importance of the U.S. space industry in the global marketplace and safeguard both jobs and critical space technology for the nation.
