SIA offers two tiers of memberships – Executive and Associate memberships

Executive Membership Benefits

SIA Executive Membership is open to those U.S.companies , as defined in SIA’s Bylaws, that are committed to SIA’s stated mission and goals . Executive members hold a seat on SIA’s Board of Directors, with full voting privileges and responsibilities. They may be elected to serve as officers of the Association.
Executive Members receive the following specific benefits :

  • A seat on the SIA Board of Directors with full voting rights and full participation in all Board-level meetings and decisions and SIA Annual Association Meeting
  • Eligibility to be elected for a 1-year term as SIA Officer Positions (Chairman, Vice-Chairman or Treasurer)
  • Participation in all SIA working group meetings and activities
  • Eligibility to lead working groups as chairman or co-chairman
  • Preferred participation in SIA sponsored events, such as SIA’s Annual Leadership Dinner, SIA’s Navy Day, Army Day and DoD SATCOM Users’ Workshop,
  • Exclusive access to Members’ Only page on SIA website
  • Electronic subscription to the SIA President’s Report
  • Participation in the Annual SIA Satellite Industry Indicators Survey and unlimited access to the resulting data in the State of the Satellite Industry Report
  • Use of SIA logo on members’ websites and corporate literature
  • Access to executive briefings, updates and special electronic reports, as well as documents relating to SIA Working Group activities

Associate Membership Benefits

SIA Associate Membership is open to both U.S. companies, as defined under SIA’s Bylaws , and non-U.S. companies engaged in satellite-related activities that are committed to SIA’s stated mission and goals.

SIA Associate Members receive the following benefits :

  • Attendance at SIA Annual Association Meeting
  • Participation in all SIA working group meetings and activities
  • Possibility to lead working groups as chairman or co-chairman, with Board Approval
  • Participation in all open SIA meetings and events, as availability permits
  • Preferred participation in SIA sponsored events, such as SIA’s Annual Leadership Dinner, SIA’s Navy Day, Army Day and DoD SATCOM Users’ Workshop,
  • Electronic subscription to the SIA President’s Report
  • Participation in the Annual SIA Satellite Industry Indicators Survey for SIA’s annual the State of the Satellite Industry Report
  • Use of SIA logo on members’ websites and corporate literature
  • Access to executive briefings, updates and special electronic reports, as well as documents relating to SIA Working Group activities

One-Year Trial Associate Membership

Companies qualified to join as Associate Members may apply to join on a one-time trial basis for one (1) calendar year. After the initial year, the Trial Associate Members may apply to join as full Associate or Executive Members, depending on qualifying membership criteria.

Trial Associate Members may participate in working group activities, but limited benefits for SIA events, will not be authorized to speak on behalf of the association or have their company logos included in SIA marketing activities.

Membership Dues

Dues are based on annual revenue from commercial space related activities.

One-Year Trial Membership

Dues for Trial Associate Membership are set at $5,000.
