| Executive members enjoy full voting privileges in the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) and participate in lobbying activities before the U.S. Government. Executive membership is open to U.S. companies who are committed to forwarding the mission and goals of the association. Dues range from $16,000 to $40,000 per year based on annual revenue from commercial space related activities.
U.S. Companies include those that are incorporated in or organized under the laws of a state in the United States or that has located its corporate headquarters or principal place of business in the United States, and that is not a subsidiary or division of a corporation or other entity that has its principle place of business outside the United States. Also eligible for executive membership are satellite system operators that may be a subsidiary or division of companies outside the United States if all or a substantial portion of the subsidiary's or division's space segment is licensed by the U.S. FCC, and at least 20% of the ownership of the subsidiary or division is held by US persons or entities. Executive membership in the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) is open to U.S. companies engaged in satellite activities who are committed to forwarding the mission and goals of the association. Definitions:A. U.S. Companies are companies that: 1. Are incorporated in or organized under the laws of a state in the United States of America or have located their corporate headquarters or principal place of business in the U.S.; and B. Companies engaged in satellite activities include: 1. Companies that generate 70 percent of annual revenue from satellite activities, including: the provision of satellite services and/or capacity; the resale of satellite services and/or capacity; the manufacturing of satellite and related ground station equipment; and the provision of satellite launch services; or Dues Structure:Level I $500 million and up in revenue $40,000 annual dues Benefits & Privileges:1. A seat on the SIA Board of Directors with full voting rights. |
